MONTANA FOREST STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM

Helping You Manage Forest Land

In Montana, 11,000 individuals own over 3 million acres of forest land. That's twice the total state acreage controlled by the forest products industry. These individuals, often referred to as Non-Industrial Private Forest (NIPF) owners, face many challenges and property issues.

With the assistance of NIPF owners, the forest stewardship program helps forest landowners help themselves. If you're an NIPF owner and curious about what's best for your property, this program is for you. If you want to discuss problems and develop solutions that meet your ownership goals, attend a Forest Stewardship Workshop.
